Project Overview

StreamVault is a full-featured OTT platform management system built for a client who needed complete control over their streaming content library. The platform integrates with TMDB for rich movie and series metadata, features a custom admin CMS for managing content, user subscriptions, and streaming links — all served through a high-performance Next.js frontend.

Key Features

• TMDB Integration — Automatic metadata sync for movie titles, posters, ratings, genres, and cast information.
• Admin CMS — Full dashboard to add, edit, schedule, and unpublish content with role-based access control.
• Subscription Management — Plan tiers, user billing status tracking, and access gating by subscription level.
• Prisma ORM — Type-safe database access with auto-generated types for every query, making the codebase fully TypeScript-safe end to end.
• Watchlist & Continue Watching — Per-user watch state stored in PostgreSQL with real-time sync.

Tech Stack

Next.js App Router for the catalogue frontend (SSR for SEO on title pages), Node.js + Express for the API layer, Prisma ORM with PostgreSQL, and Tailwind CSS for the UI. Admin panel built as a separate Next.js app with JWT-protected routes.
